Chandigarh, February 19

Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee led by its president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring held a protest outside the Income Tax (I-T) Department Office in Mohali today, condemning the heavy-handed tactics of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) against Opposition entities and the populace at large.

Addressing the gathering, Warring said the protest was a warning to the BJP and its affiliated agencies. The party cannot be intimidated by the abuse of authority orchestrated by the BJP regime, he said.

Condemning the BJP’s actions, Raja Warring declared, “I pledge to thwart the proliferation of BJP’s RSS ideology nationwide. Regardless of adversities hurled at us by the BJP, we perceive them as trials bestowed upon us by the almighty and we shall persevere. Our faith in the judiciary remains unwavering as evidenced by the Supreme Court’s annulment of BJP’s electoral bond scheme. While our coffers stand sealed and immobilised on the eve of elections, the BJP remains unaccountable.”
