Chandigarh selected for National Digital Health Mission

Chandigarh, July 20

The UT has been selected for the implementation of the National Digital Health Mission (NDHM).

The NDHM will provide a comprehensive health eco-system that will enable creation of a strong public digital infrastructure and digitally empower individuals, doctors and health facilities.

A total of four systems will be developed in the first phase which will be implemented in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Chandigarh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu, Lakshadweep and Puducherry.

One of the first systems to be built will be ‘Swasthya Account’, which is a digital health identifier for all individuals to create their identity in the national healthcare system for ease of access to their personal health information.
