Chandigarh, October 11

To promote cycling in the city, Chandigarh Smart City Limited (CSCL) organised a cycle rally here this morning.

KK Yadav, MC Commissioner-cum-CEO of the CSCL, flagged off the rally from the Sector 42 lake at 7 am.

The rally was organised to promote Cycle4Change Challenge in the city. The initiative is to implement quick interventions to create a safe and cycling-friendly city.

Chandigarh Residents’ Association Welfare Federation volunteers provided the technical support to the event.

Yadav honoured the participants with certificates issued by the UT Administration.

The CEO said it was an attempt to create awareness on cycles among residents. They would intensify the campaign in collaboration with NGOs, RWAs and other organisations. — TNS
