Chandigarh logs 8 Covid-19 cases

Chandigarh: The city on Tuesday reported eight cases of Covid-19 and no death due to the virus. As many as five patients were cured of the disease in the past 24 hours. — TNS

1 death, 7 fresh cases in Mohali

Mohali: One person died of Covid-19 while seven new cases were reported in the district on Tuesday. The deceased is a 52-year-old woman of Adarsh Nagar who died at the PGI on December 4. She was a housewife and suffering from comorbidities like highpertension and diabetes. One patient has recovered from the virus in the past 24 hours. Among the new cases, three are from Kharar, and two each from Dhakoli and Mohali. The active cases in the district are 55. The toll has reached 1,073. — TNS

One new case in Panchkula

Panchkula: Panchkula reported one fresh coronavirus case, taking the overall tally to 30,844. The toll, however, remains at 379. While 30,450 people have recovered from the infectious disease so far, 15 cases are still active. The recovery rate stands at 98.72 per cent. — TNS
