Chandigarh: 2 miscreants rob Rs 3 lakh cash at gunpoint from Western Union branch

In a broad daylight robbery, two miscreants reportedly robbed Rs three lakh cash at gunpoint from a Western Union branch in Sector 27 on Monday.

Complainant Sanjeev Kalia stated that he had returned to his office after withdrawing the money from a bank.

Kalia then went to washroom in the market.

“As I returned to my office, two persons with their faces covered arrived and demanded money from me. While one of them was holding a pistol, the other one had a saw in his hand,” Kalia said.

The complainant got scared and he handed over the money to them. They kept the money in a laptop bag and escaped from the spot.

Police was informed about the incident that reached the spot and initiated an investigation.
