Chandigarh, December 28

Three persons, including a bouncer, working at a club have been arrested on the charge of stealing the gold chain of a woman who had come to attend a party. The bouncer allegedly stole the chain and gave it to his brother who sold it to a jeweller.

According to the police, Neha Kumari (31) of Mohali, had told the police that she had gone to attend an office party at a club, named Ministry of Bar Exchange (MOBE), at Elante on December 25. While leaving the mall, she found that her gold chain was missing. She reported the matter to the police.

The police found that the bouncer, identified as Dilshad (25), had stolen the chain while the complainant was sitting on a couch. He gave the chain to his brother, Sultan (27), who works at a jewellery store in Sector 22. “Sultan sold the chain to a jeweller named Ravinder (29) who runs a jewellery shop in Sector 23,” said a police official. The police have arrested the bouncer, his brother and the jeweller to whom the chain was sold.
