Badminton Meet: Shriyanshi Valishetty to face Tara Shah in title clash

Haryana's Devika Sihag moved into the girls' U-19 final on the penultimate day of the Yonex-Sunrise 29th Smt Krishna Khaitan All-India Junior (U-19) Ranking Badminton Tournament.

Devika logged a comeback 13-21 22-20 21-7 win over Telangana’s Shriyanshi Valishetty to march into the final.

Maharashtra’s Tara Shah ousted second seed Anupama Upadhyaya of Haryana 21-17 21-19 in the second semifinal of the event.
In one of the boys’ U-19 semifinals, Karnataka’s Nicholas Nathan Raj defeated Sanskar Saraswat 19-21 21-18 21-13.

The pair of Arulmurugan R and Srinidhi N beat Sathwik Reddy K and Vaishnavi Khadkekar 11-21 21-18 21-18 to move into the mixed doubles final. In the second semifinal, Mayank Rana and Nardhana VR recorded a 17-21 21-16 27-25 win over Hari Bharathi B and Dhanyaa N.

In the girls' U-19 doubles semis, Shreya Balaji and Srinidhi N easily defeated Neysa Cariappa A and Taneesha Singh 21-11 21-12, while Gayathri Rani Jaiswal and Karnika Sree S were beaten 17-21 21-10 21-19 by Navya Kanderi and Rakshitha Sree S.
