The Knowledge Bus, Mohali

The Knowledge Bus Global School, Mohali, organised three-day annual sports day with zeal and fervour. The chief guest was Kamaljit Singh, official, United Nations peace-keeping operation, and the special guest was Sonia Battan, Guinness world record holder in Taekwondo. Celebrations started with a march past. Best skater was Harnoor Kaur, ‘Man of the series (Cricket)’ was Arshpreet whereas ‘Best footballer’ was Sahibnoor Singh and ‘Best golfers’ were Shreepad and Saarthk Joshi. TNS

St Joan’s, Zirakpur

The kindergarten block of St Joan’s Public School was full of festivities on account of their annual presentation, ‘The Wonder Girl’. It was a play about an inquisitive tribal girl. It was dedicated to the girls who want to go to school, but can’t do so due to social restraints and poor mentality of their elders. Several scenes were beautifully depicted — a village scene, a school scene, a post office scene and the changing of four seasons. Students of LKG and UKG delivered their dialogues with perfection. The stage was brought alive with dance performances by nursery kids. A vote of thanks was given by RK Nayyar, Director of the school. The celebrations ended on a happy note.

Oakridge International, Mohali

Students of Oakridge International School participated in a regional competition at Mayoor School, Noida. Two teams from Oakridge school participated in the event and one team won the first place in spontaneous problem-solving contest while the other team won the silver medal in long-term problem-solving.

Sri Guru Harkrishan Public

The English Department of Sri Guru Harkrishan Public School, Sector 40-C, held an inter-house debate competition for Classes VIII and IX. Angad and Arjun Bhargava of Class IX bagged the first and second position, respectively. Nikita of Class IX bagged the third position.

AKSIPS -123 Smart School, Kharar

A special assembly on ‘Mahashivratri’ was conducted at AKSIPS -123 Smart School. The assembly commenced with morning prayer followed by a speech on the significance of the day.

St Joseph’s, Chandigarh

Students of St Joseph’s Senior Secondary School, Sector 44-D, Chandigarh, proved their mettle in various competitions organised by TS Central State Library, Sector 17, Chandigarh. They were felicitated during the annual prize distribution function by Rubinderjit Singh Brar, PCS, Director School and Higher Education, Chandigarh Administration. TNS
