71st PU convocation

In the forthcoming 71st Panjab University Annual Convocation — Prof Raj Kumar, Central University of Punjab, Bhatinda, and Prof Rajendra Srivastava, IIT Ropar — would be felicitated with the Shiv Nath Rai Kohli Memorial Mid-Career Best Scientist Award for the year 2022. Mounil Garg, BE Computer Science Engineering, would be felicitated with the ‘Abhishek Sethi Memorial Cash Prize’ of Rs 30,000 and Gold Medal.

Lecture on int’l women’s day

Under the aegis of the Centre for Women Development, the University Institute of Legal Studies hosted a special lecture and interactive session to observe International Women’s Day. The lecture was delivered by Dr Jyoti Yadav, Superintendent of Police at SAS Nagar. The session served as a platform for the students to participate in meaningful discussions, exchange perspectives and explore practical strategies for advancing inclusivity and gender equality.
