7-day event on revival of economy

A seven-day faculty development programme on “Needonomics for Revival of Economy in Post Pandemic Era” being organised by the Human Resource Development Centre, Panjab University, started here on Wednesday. Prof Dinesh Gupta, former Dean, University Instructions, Panjab University, in his inaugural address elaborated upon the theme with a generous mix of shlokas from the Bhagavad Gita. “To become an engine of growth for the sustainable global economy in the post-pandemic era, we have to adopt the strategy of needonomics with NAW (need, affordability and worth) approach of marketing in India,” said Prof MM Goel, Vice-Chancellor, Starex University, and founder of the needonomics school of thought. Cleanliness and plantation drive

A cleanliness-cum-plantation drive was launched at a park near the Mori Gate, Sector 14, by the Department of NSS in collaboration with the Horticulture Division on Wednesday. Prof Ashwani Koul, programme coordinator, shared his vision of a clean and beautiful environment. He informed that 11 more such drives would be held in July and August. A tree plantation drive was also organised by the boys’ hostel No. 3. The event was attended by RS Verma, IAS, Managing Director, Haryana Tourism and Registrar, Cooperative Department, Haryana. .
