The assailants fired two shots at the bouncer. He reportedly saved his life by taking shelter in a property dealer’s office. The bullets hit the front door of the office, breaking its glass. The assailants fled after the incident. Abhishek informed the police, but they reached the spot after an hour.

Empty shells recovered from the spot.

In his statement to the police, Abhishek said he, along with his family, lived at Shiva Enclave. He said he worked as a bouncer, but had left the job for the past two-three months. He said around 4 pm, he was sitting on the stairs in front of his house adjoining the property dealer’s office when one of the assailants came and demanded Rs 2,700 from him. When he refused, another one came and said Sunny had told them that Abhishek would give the money. He said when he told them that he did not know anybody by the name of Sunny, the assailants tried to abduct him in the car. However, he freed himself from the grip of the assailants after a scuffle and ran into the property dealer’s office to save his life. The assailants then fired two bullets at him.

They fled towards Nabha village, the residents said.
