4 snatchers nailed with 101 phones in Mohali

The police busted a gang of mobile phone snatchers with the arrest of four members and recovered 101 phones and some purses from them. The suspects have been identified as Sohana residents Rahul, Pankaj, Nandan Singh and a 16-year-old juvenile.

A case has been registered at the Phase 1 police station.

The police have named Sanjay as the mastermind of the gang. Many FIRs have already been registered against him. Nandan Singh runs a mobile phone shop in Sohana. As many as 76 phones and spare parts were recovered from him.

The police said the suspects used to take drugs and snatched phones from vulnerable women and industrial labour in the afternoon and late at night in the Mohali area.
