3 more held for Kharar murder

Three persons booked for the murder of taxi driver Rakesh Kumar in Kharar on August 5 were arrested today and remanded in five-day police custody. Deepanshu, Mayank Agarwal and Rajesh Kumar surrendered in the court today.

Kharar City SHO Ashok Kumar said the five suspects arrested earlier in the case had been remanded in judicial custody by the court.

On August 5, a 35-year-old man was killed with a sharp weapon while another sustained serious injuries in a clash between two groups over old enmity near Pakka Darwaza on the Arya College road in Kharar.

The deceased was identified as Rakesh Kumar, while Jatinder Kumar sustained a fracture in a leg. A case under Section 302 was registered against eight suspects at the Kharar City police station.
