2 men robbed at gunpoint in Panchkula

A case has been registered under Section 25 of the Arms Act and Section 148, 149, 323, 341 and 379-B of the IPC at the Chandimandir police station

Five unidentified persons attacked and looted two men at gunpoint on Wednesday evening.

One of the victims, Rajkumar (32), a resident of Zirakpur, told the police that he and his friend Sarvpreet Singh were on their way to Pinjore in a car when another car bearing a Punjab number intercepted their vehicle before the Chandimandir toll plaza.

Five men came out of the car and allegedly robbed the victims of a bracelet, Rs70,000 and a mobile phone.

A case has been registered under Section 25 of the Arms Act and Section 148, 149, 323, 341 and 379-B of the IPC at the Chandimandir police station. SHO Arvind Kumar said they were yet to make an arrest in the case. —
