Chandigarh reports five more coronavirus cases; tally now 13

Chandigarh reported five more cases of coronavirus on Monday, officials said.

An NRI couple who recently returned from Canada and three other people tested positive, officials said on Monday.

They were all primary contacts of a coronavirus patient, the official said.  Among the new patients was the mother of person who recently tested positive.

The three included the mother of the 23-year-old man.

All of them have been admitted to an isolation ward in GMCH-32.

This takes Chandigarh’s coronavirus cases to 13. The country’s tally meanwhile has shot past 1,000, with 29 recorded deaths.
