Srinagar, January 20

The Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industries (KCC&I) on Sunday demanded sacking of one NITI Aayog member for his alleged anti-Kashmir remarks.

“We condemn these remarks. They are spreading venom against the people of Kashmir. Nobody gives him the right to speak like this about the people of Kashmir. The entire world knows that the Valley is suffering due to internet shutdown. We recently compiled a report that losses to the business sector in Kashmir have amounted to over Rs18,000 cr,” said KCC&I president Sheikh Ashiq.

Ashiq was reacting to NITI Ayog member VK Saraswat’s reported remarks on Saturday. — TNS
