STPI launches second edition of Neuron's Open Challenge Programme

The programme helps solve real-life problems related to specific domains

More than 400 participants attended the virtual launch of the second edition of Open Challenge Programme of Neuron- Centre of Excellence (CoE) organised by Software Technology Parks of India (STPI), Mohali, an organisation under the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY). TiE Chandigarh was entrusted to run and coordinate this programme.

The Second Open Challenge Programme aimed at bringing the aspiring entrepreneurs across the region and India on a common platform to solve real-life problems related to specific domains using AI, data analytic & IoT. The preferred domains are education, agriculture, healthcare, smart cities, electric mobility. TiE Chandigarh has been entrusted to run and coordinate this programme.

The event was launched by Dr. Omkar Rai (Director General STPI HQ) & Alok Shekhar Srivastava IAS (Principal Secretary, Govt. of Punjab) with the ambition to bring the aspiring entrepreneurs across the region and India on a common platform to solve real-life problems with specific domains.

“NEURON will play a pivotal role in creating the right ecosystem for startups and helping them build path-breaking products for industry & address the challenges of society,” highlighted Dr. Omkar Rai, DG, STPI, on the occasion.

Alok Shekhar Srivastava IAS, Principal Secretary, Government of Punjab, also shared his views on the current state of startups and eco-system in Punjab and also appreciated the efforts of STPI, Mohali, for creating neuron-coe, state-of-the art facility for budding startups and entrepreneurs.
