Cybersecurity expert Ritik Davda raises awareness about the rising cybercrimes across different fields

We are living in a world that is highly dependent and connected to the internet. A lot of information is floating over the world wide web that is critical for entities and business organisations. It is important to understand that such information is vulnerable to cyberattacks as the digital ecosystem can be accessed by any layman. This is where the need for cybersecurity comes to ensure the security of sensitive data, intellectual property and highly confidential information of the government. Therefore, cybersecurity experts like Ritik Davda are helping influential personalities and organisations to stay protected from malicious activities.

Hailing from Gujarat, Ritik in his childhood was fascinated about how computers operate with technology. To begin his journey, he started repairing electronic gadgets in his neighbouring areas after which he equipped knowledge about ethical hacking. The workshop he attended about ethical hacking in the initial phase of his career helped him in providing technical support to many influencers, celebrities and brands of Gujarat.

The concept of cybersecurity was undermined by many people for quite a long time. However, things have eventually changed with the arrival of the COVID-19 pandemic. As the trend of working remotely has become the new normal, there has been a swift transition from the traditional model of business to the digitalized business module. This has seen an upward trend of online transactions which makes it pretty evident to enhance security over the digital domain.

Despite the digital wave, Ritik Davda feels that many people are unaware of the cybercrimes increasing in different fields. He says that information theft is the fastest-growing segment of cybercrime. As businesses are reliant on technology, their data is majorly stored on the computer, internet-connected devices and other cloud platforms. "I feel that phishers not only steal the data but they can compromise data integrity to hamper the company's reputation. It then gives birth to data breaches which is again increasing with the distributed nature of the internet", he said.

To raise awareness about cybercrimes, Ritik aims to educate people by teaching them to identify and respond to online threats diligently. For the same, he is planning to author a book sharing his best knowledge about cybersecurity. When asked about it, he revealed, "I am still a learner and I have a lot to explore in this vast field. I have given a thought to writing a book. However, it will take time as a lot of other things are in process at the moment."

Moreover, the young and dynamic entrepreneur launched his startup earlier this year. His company 'XynityInfoSolution' aims to provide top-notch cybersecurity services to companies, public figures and celebrities from different walks of life.
