Author Mark Van Stratum’s inspiring journey of triumph over failures and darkness He is ready to launch his next book based on his life and experiences

“A winner is a dreamer, who never gives up”, said Nelson Mandela. Not giving up on the toughest situations of life is what makes a person winner. Author Mark Van Stratum’s life is a perfect example of this. Mark has faced the most dreaded experiences life could give to any individual but he overcame all of that at each stage of his life.

Mark, who Lives in Lisbon, Portugal, is a person with creative brilliance who is all set to release his second book based on his life and experiences. His life has been a roller-coaster ride so far. Mark is a child from a troubled family. His father left them when he was quite young, at the age of 5 he lost one of his arms in an accident. He was bullied by both the teachers and the students in school. As he grew, he got involved in drugs and crime, forgetting his real talent in art and writing. But then he had an epiphany and leaving everything behind he shifted to Los Angeles and started working there as a diet coach in a firm. There he met a client who was doing great in online marketing, the idea clicked with Mark and he too started online marketing and established himself in the field. But he always felt something was missing so he returned to his passion, which is writing. 

His stories take the reader through an unexpected journey of the human psyche. He mixes fast-moving dialogue with psychological insight ranging from business to inter-gender dynamics and truth about human experiences. Writing about real life has made him “Knowledgeable and rational”, says Mark.

Mark is now the owner of a flourishing business and an accomplished author. But during his entire journey to reach this level of success he has learned that “If you change your behaviour, you will change results.” He realized in his early twenties that his life is not messed up because of external factors but because of his response to them, so he decided to change it and shifted the focus to the right direction and results are visible. What sets him apart from others is his creativity to express his real-life truth in an intelligent way that intrigues the reader and keeps them glued to the stories on and on.
