How has been the response to your web series Maaya?

I played the protagonist in the web show. It was a family drama about conflicting and complicated relationships. The response was absolutely amazing. Everyone loved it immensely. We got a lot of love and support from everyone.

What do you have to say about the digital boom? Do you feel it’s here to stay?

Digital boom is a blessing in disguise for actors. It has added creative variety that all actors were looking out for. Digital has provided a platform for many concepts that may not have been possible at other platforms. So, I think the playground is getting bigger for the actors and at the same time for the audience to watch the real content which is both contemporary and entertaining. The digital boom is definitely here to stay and that too for a very long time.

What do you think is the future of content on the internet?

Future of content would be the mirroring of what’s happening in our society. I think the digital is very quick to adapt what’s happening around you and showcasing it in the most entertaining way possible.

What kind of shows or web series do you like to watch on the internet?

I am a big fan of Suits. I just finished its last season. Also, I love variety of content as long as it’s engaging. I am also a big fan of watching situational romantic comedies and I can’t wait for something to happen on that front for me.

What are your social media habits?

It is to check on Instagram as and when I get off my work schedule. It has become so unconscious a habit that I might have to take a social media break for a while.

Television actors are getting roles in Bollywood and Bollywood folks are doing TV but still, TV actors are not easily accepted. What is your viewpoint?

I think the times are changing now. TV actors are definitely getting accepted now. With TV actors, you already have a following. People know you and have been following you, so I guess it adds to the marketing of the film and Bollywood seems to have been realising it.
