Bathinda, January 20

An inter-house painting competition was organised at Saint Kabir Convent Senior Secondary School by the Punjab Academy of Sciences, Patiala, wherein students of various schools participated enthusiastically.

On the occasion, Dr Tarlok Singh and Dr Dhamiwal, Punjab Academy of Sciences members, were present. Renowned artist Dr Amarjeet Singh and Sobha Singh Society president Gurpreet Singh were the judges for the event. The school managing director Prof ML Arora and principal Anju Dogra welcomed the guests and talked about how art allows young minds to explore their imagination and boosts their creativity.

DAV School here bagged first position, Saint Xavier Convent, Rampura, won second position and Doon Public School bagged third position in the competition. Efforts made by the students were appreciated by everyone. Certificates and mementos were presented to winners.
