Muktsar, March 29

As a number of bigwigs, including film stars and industrialists, are donating money to eradicate the coronavirus on the appeal of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, it has become a trend to donate some amount for the cause and put a snapshot of the e-receipt on social media.

A number of people are putting up such snapshots on social media, appealing to others to do their bit as well. It is being even largely appreciated.

“Donation of even small amount is good. And if someone is motivating others by showing his own donation receipt, there is nothing bad in it. It will only inspire others,” said Raman Kumar, a local resident.

He said, “Even my nephew, who is currently in the US, has donated money for this cause. We should support the nation during a tough time.”

Notably, the Prime Minister has also shared tweets of some personalities about their pledge to donate money for the cause.
