Cops clueless about three missing girls

The Bathinda police are still clueless about the three girlstudents of a city government school, who went missing since Thursday.

Four teams of the police are working on various theories, but so far they have failed to get any breakthrough in the case. It is learnt that the girls carried around Rs 15,000 with them.

DSP Gurjit Singh Romana said: “During the preliminary probe, it seems that the girls left the house on their own.” Romana said one of the girls’ relative received a phone call but the number is non-traceable. He said the girls would be traced soon.

Three Class VII girl students went missing on Thursday. The matter came to light when the students did not reach home till 3 pm. Their parents reached the school to enquire about them. The staff told them that they did not come to the school.

Thereafter, the parents approached the Kotwali police to lodge a missing complaint.

The Kotwali police have registered a case against unidentified persons on a complaint by one of the girls’ father, who suspects that his girl has been kidnapped by someone.

Moreover, these girls were seen last at the Mansa railway station, but since there are no whereabouts of the girls.
