70 attend training session on industrially safety

A total of 70 employees attended a two day-long training programme on industrial safety and occupational health organised by the local unit of National Fertilizers Limited (NFL) recently.

The programme was organised under the guidance of Sahil Goyal from the NFL and was inaugurated by company’s AK Jain, who stressed on maintenance of good health and observance of safety guidelines. Experts from companies such as TPCL, Ultratech Cement and Cargill India Pvt Ltd apprised the participants of best practices across industries. Healthy lifestyle, safety techniques and first aid, safety management systems and Personal Protective Equipment were some of the topics covered during the training.

Sahil Goyal appreciated the NFL management for organising the event and urged the participants to make best use of training sessions and ask questions when in doubt. He also appreciated the management for safety arrangements at the plant.

The healthy lifestyle training session was conducted by Dr Vitul Gupta, senior doctor from the city. Pradeep Pradhan, head of Talwandi Power Corporation Ltd, conducted the session on safety techniques and first aid. The first day came to an end with a session on safety management systems by Davinder Pal Singh, safety manager, Ultratech Cement.

Vishal Singla, Deputy Director of Factories, Moga, appreciated the efforts of the NFL management to prevent accidents at the plant.
