London: A copy of the first Harry Potter novel “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone”, carrying a typo, is expected to fetch between $19,460 and $25,940 at an auction. The book, one of the 500 copies from the rare first edition in 1997, contains an error on page 53 where a list of school supplies that Potter must purchase before attending Hogwarts magic school repeats the ‘1 wand’. China to launch hack-proof satellite     

Beijing: China is set to launch the world's first quantum communication satellite which boasts of hack-proof ultra high security features to prevent wiretapping and intercepts. If the satellite works well, it will pave the way for a hack-proof communication system. In 2015, a quantum-computing lab jointly set up by the Chinese Academy of Science and Internet giant Alibaba opened in Shanghai. It is expected to produce a quantum computer prototype with 50-100 quantum bits by 2030. pTI
