Instead of the levels of discrimination decreasing towards the LGBQIA+ community; they have just been rising. 

Recently, reports surfaced of a man repeatedly punching and kicking a transgender woman in the middle of a road for just 200 US dollars (Rs 14,000).

This incident took place in Dallas, US, in broad daylight.

The horrifying act was caught on camera and has been making rounds of the social media. 

The accused 29-year-old Edward Thomas, who was a prime suspect in the case, has been arrested and charged with assault. The police are trying to figure out if it can be called a hate crime.

According to a report on a news website, the incident kickstarted after the victim bumped into the suspect's car and tried running from the scene.

In the video, it is evident that someone is offering the suspect money to beat up the victim.

The suspect reportedly ran her off the road in an attempt to stop her and threatened her with a gun to pay for the damages.

In the gruesome video, several other men, along with Thomas, can be seen repeatedly punching and kicking Booker.

People can also be heard shouting, "Shoot that punk a**, "along with "That's what your fag**t a** gets," and "get that fag**t out of our hood."

The victim suffered from a fractured wrist and swelling on the face.
