Sydney: Australia has appointed its first indigenous minister, a former labourer who has credited education for his rise from humble beginnings. Los Angeles: Ahead of his swearing-in as the 45th President of US, a new endangered species of moth has been named in honour of Donald Trump by scientists because the insect shares his hairstyle. The new moth, officially described as Neopalpa donaldtrumpi, stands out with yellowish-white scales present on the head in adults. PTI

Twitter officially shuts down Vine app

New York: Twitter has finally shut down the Vine app service, revamping it into Vine Camera that will let users shoot 6.5 seconds looping videos that can be later uploaded. A report said it has not yet been revealed when the app will make the transition. Twitter acquired Vine in October 2012, and as of 2016, the app had over 200 million active monthly users and 1.5 billion loops have been viewed since its inception. IANS
