PANDIT Todar Mall was sometime ago appointed as Professor of classical Sanskrit in the Oriental College, Lahore. Owing to his apparent inability to leave Germany the Syndicate allowed him one year's grace up to October 1st 1915. But even that concession has not brought him back to the country. The Syndicate have now decided to invite applications for a five years' appointment in the next autumn term. Meanwhile temporary arrangements are to be made for the remainder of the academic year and Pandit Rabhubar Dyal of St. Stephen's College, Delhi, is to be invited to take up the appointment temporarily.
