Electoral Anomalies in the Punjab.

Show comments

IN another column will be found reproduced from the columns of our local contemporary, the Observer, a singularly outspoken article on some electoral anomalies in the Punjab. The anomalies are, indeed, many, as the general public can readily recollect, and not the least glaring of them is the official desire to condemn the Punjab with all its astounding advancement into a condition of eternal backwardness. Some Punjab officials seem to consider that this social, economic and educational, is no better than the backwoods of Assam where the tea planter is the monarch of all he surveys.
