Deputy Law Minister Affair Placed Before Mrs. Gandhi

NEW DELHI, May 19 (UNI)-Law Minister P. Govinda Menon told the Rajya Sabha the matter connected with Deputy Law Minister Mohammad Yunus Saleem affair had been placed before the PM. He gave this information at the end of a stormy discussion following Mr. Saleem’s statement clarifying his position on the charges of Mr Lok Nath Misra earlier in the House regarding the way in which the Deputy Minister handled two files relating to Messrs Bhargava Brothers of Lucknow. Mr. Menon said after he found that remarks of the Law Secretary had hurt the feelings of the Deputy Law Minister he asked the Law Secretary to express regret.
