WE are gratified to learn that Mr. Abdul Ghafur Khan, B.A., Government of India State scholar, has taken his B.Sc. Degree in Engineering from Manchester University in Honours division. He has stood first in the University and has been recommended for a research scholarship of £100, besides gaining a prize of £3 which he has handed over to the War Loan. Mr. Abdul Ghafur Khan is a young graduate from Aligarh and is son of that renowned inventor of “water wireless telegraphy” Khan Bahadur Habibur Rahman Khan, M.R.I., F.R.C.I, M.I.F.E., & c., & c. it is satisfactory to know that the young scholar is devoting his time to research work and specialising himself in his father’s subject, electricity.
