Thiem ousts Murray in Barcelona semifinals

Barcelona: Andy Murray was knocked out 6-2 3-6 6-4 by Austria's Dominic Thiem in the semifinals of the Barcelona Open. Murray got off to a bad start but relied on his serve to recover in the second set but could not sustain the level. In the final, Thiem will meet Rafael Nadal, who beat Horacio Zeballos 6-3 6-4.

Ramkumar, Paes in finals of Tallahassee Challenger

Ramkumar Ramanathan and Leander Paes reached the singles and doubles final of the ATP Challenger event in Tallahassee after winning their respective semifinals. Ramkumar beat Italian qualifier Andrea Arnaboldi 6-2 5-7 6-4 in the semifinals. Paes and Scott Lipsky beat the Ecuadorian pair of Roberto Quiroz and Gonzalo Escobar 6-1 6-7 (10-3) in the semis.
