Proud of the way we competed

I’m proud of the way we’ve been able to turn things around and really compete in these conditions. I know coming over here, I said it a few times, we’re being written off, we’d lose 4-0 and all that kind of stuff. But the way we’ve been out here competing in each and every Test match, it’s been great to be part of a fantastic series. 

It hurts to fall at the final hurdle

We fought very hard throughout the series and then to fall over at the final hurdle, it hurts. The boys in the room are hurting. I think we can take a lot from the way we played, the plans we’ve had and the way we have done it. Perhaps we just needed to do it for a little bit longer at times and be a little more consistent.

Disappointed BCCI uploaded Jadeja-Wade chat 

Yeah, I was a little bit disappointed that you know the BCCI sifts through archives to find a conversation in the field that was happening between Matty and Jadeja. I think it has happened between both sides throughout the series, so the fact that they have done that to us is pretty disappointing. What’s said on the field should stay on the field. 

Offered to have a drink with Indian team

I said (to Rahane) see you next week, he’s in my team for IPL. I asked if he wanted us to come in for a drink at the end of the series. He said he’d get back to me. With Ajinkya, we get on well. He’s in my IPL team, so I’ll be with him for the next few weeks.
