Rio Olympics silver medallist PV Sindhu became one of the members of the BWF Athletes’ Commission after the end of voting for the four places on the representative body here today. “I am happy to be elected as a member. Thanks to the players who have elected me. It is a great responsibility and I will surely do justice to my new post,” said Sindhu. “It is a proud moment for us and on behalf on the entire BAI, I would like to congratulate Sindhu for being elected to the Athletes Commission,” said BAI president Himanta Biswa Sarma.

B’desh down New Zealand, boost 2019 World Cup push 

Bangladesh took a huge step towards qualifying for the 2019 World Cup with a five-wicket victory over New Zealand in the tri-series final today. Bagan say they won’t submit ISL bid document 

Mohun Bagan today said that they would not submit the bid document unless their three demands are met in order to be inducted into the Indian Super League. The former I-League champions collected the bid document today and Thursday is the deadline to submit it.
