The Indian junior hockey team came back strongly to record a 3-2 victory over Dinamo Storitel in the second game of the EurAsia Cup.

India dominated the possession in the first half but did score a goal till late in the game. Dinamo managed to win two consecutive penalty corners but India defended well and averted both the goal-scoring opputunities both time. With minutes to the half time, Gurjant scored the opener to give India 1-0 lead into the half-time.

Dinamo hit back via a penalty corner in the 45th minute and then took a lead with a second goal in the 46th minute via L Mikhail. India continued playing their possession game and soon had the equaliser. Varun scored in the 53rd minute via a penalty corner. With just one minute left for the final hooter, Parvinder scored to give India the second win on trot in the EurAsia Cup. Earlier, the colts began their campaign with an emphatic 3-1 victory. India scored the opener in the 44th minute after being awarded a stroke. Vice-captain Varun Kumar made no mistake from the spot to give his team the lead.

Simranjeet Singh doubled the lead in the next minute, before Vikramjit Singh added the third goal eight minutes later. — PTI
