Durban, January 22

Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed faces serious trouble after he was caught on TV cameras making a racist comment against a South African player, Andile Phehlukwayo, during the second ODI.

“Abey kaale, teri ammi aaj kahaan baithin hain? Kya parwa ke aaye hai aaj?” Sarfraz was caught as saying by the stump mic during the 37th over of the South African innings. The literal translation of this sentence would be: “Hey black man, where is your mother sitting today? What prayer have you got her to say for you today?” Former Pakistan captain Ramiz Raja was on commentary with Mike Haysman at the time. Haysman asked Raja:  “What’s he saying there Ramiz?” “Difficult really to translate that,” Raja answered. “It’s a big long sentence.” — Agencies
