To ensure its affiliation with the BCCI, Rajasthan Cricket Association on Saturday suspended Nagaur District Cricket Association led by former IPL chairman Lalit Modi and served a suspension letter on newly-elected RCA secretary Rajendra Singh Nandu, claimed to be a Modi loyalist.

In its first executive meeting, RCA president C P Joshi took a decision with his team to suspend Nagaur DCA and Nandu.

Recently, on an appeal of Joshi to restore affiliation and revoke suspension imposed four years ago, the BCCI had hinted at getting rid of the Lalit Modi group from Nagaur first.

Joshi has given charge of secretary to joint secretary Mahendra Nahar after Nandu was served the suspension letter.

Later talking to the media, Nandu said he would move court against new the order.

The RCA elections were held on May 29 after the High Court order and under the Lodha committee's recommendations.

Joshi had defeated Lalit Modi’s son Ruchir Modi for president’s post by a margin of five votes.
