Now, Rio-bound Inderjeet tests positive

New Delhi: Inderjeet Singh, the Rio-bound shot putter from Haryana, has failed a dope test. According to well-placed sources, the shot putter’s A sample has been found positive for a banned substance and the National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) has notified the athlete and the Athletics Federation of India (AFI) about the failed dope test. The athlete has a week’s time to report to NADA and seek a test of his B sample. NADA had collected his sample on June 24. —Sabi Hussain
