NEW DELHI, July 30

The BCCI treasurer and secretary of Haryana Cricket Association Aniruddh Chaudhary today made it clear that his state association would not make any plea to the Board to revoke the ban imposed on tainted cricketer Ajit Chandila.

While Kerala Cricket Association (KCA) chief TC Mathew and Mumbai CA secretary PV Shetty have stated that they would request the BCCI to consider allowing Sreesanth and Chavan to play club cricket, Chandila will not find it easy as his parent state body HCA is not behind him currently. “There is a BCCI suspension on Ajit Chandila and until the Board decides otherwise, we are not thinking on those lines. Haryana Cricket Association is not going to make any appeal to the BCCI regarding revoking Ajit Chandila's suspension. If the BCCI decides anything, then we would see what we need to do. Till then Chandila's case would not be taken up by us,” Chaudhary said.

Another HCA official also said that Chandila would “not even be allowed to play a district match as far as our association is concerned.” — PTI
