Lahiri slips in second round

Anirban Lahiri had a frustrating day in rather difficult conditions as he brought home a disappointing even par 72 on the second day of the CareerBuilder Challenge here. The Indian ace did give himself chances, but he failed to get his putts to drop. Lahiri also went twice into the water and missed a lot of makeable putts.

Playing at the Stadium Course, Lahiri made as many as five birdies, but he also gave away three bogeys and one double. Lahiri’s putting deserted him and he missed at least two putts inside five feet and another four inside 15 feet. He was Tied-69 after the second round, down from overnight Tied-34th, and plays his third round at the La Quinta course. — PTI
