ORLANDO, MARCH 17

Anirban Lahiri fired back-to-back birdies on the fourth and fifth holes on his second nine to squeeze inside the cut line and stay on for weekend action at the Arnold Palmer Invitational.

Lahiri had four each of birdies and bogeys in his even round and is tied-66th at a 1-over 145, which was also the cutline.

Henrik Stenson hung in through the tough period and his three birdies around the turn saw him card a 3-under 69.

He shares the lead with Bryson DeChambeau, who had a 66. Stenson and DeChambeau are at an 11-under 133. They had a two-shot advantage over Talor Gooch (70).

Tiger Woods did not make a birdie until the 12th hole and shot a 72 to lie at 17th at a 4-under 140. Woods trailed after 36 holes in four of his eight victories at Bay Hill, including a seven-shot deficit in 2008.

Rory McIlroy was slowed by a pair of bogeys as he shot a 70. He was six shots behind, along with Ernie Els (70).

Aditi makes cut, tied-39 at Founders Cup

Phoenix: Aditi Ashok carded an even-par 72 to slip from overnight tied-17 to tied-39 after the second round of the LPGA Founders Cup.

At 2-under 142 with rounds of 70-72, she is now seven shots behind the leader, Cydney Clanton (68-67). Aditi opened with a bogey but quickly made up with three birdies in the next six holes. She was 2-under through 11 before a bogey on the 12th and then a closing one on the 18th saw her fall back to even par.

Meanwhile, Clanton holed out for an eagle on the 13th hole and then made a birdie on the 18th to close in sole possession of the 36-hole lead at a 9-under 135. — Agencies
