New Delhi, September 27

The Indian women's team selectors named unchanged squads for the ODI and T20 series in the West Indies beginning November 1 in Antigua.

Only Sushma Verma has been added to the 16-member ODI squad for the three-match series beginning on November 1. India had picked a 15-member squad for the home ODI series against South Africa, which begins in Vadodara on October 9. The same T20 side that is taking on South Africa will face West Indies in the five-match series, which begins on November 9 in St. Lucia. Haryana’s 15-year-old Shafali Verma has retained her place in the T20 side. She had failed to open her account in the first T20I against South Africa.

Harmanpreet, Smriti, Jemimah to miss Big Bash

India's T20 captain Harmanpreet Kaur, her deputy Smriti Mandhana and emerging star Jemimah Rodrigues are unlikely to feature in the Women's Big Bash League (WBBL) in Australia as it is clashing with the national team's tour of the West Indies. The first standalone WBBL, which starts on October 18 and ends on December 8, is likely to clash with India's month-long tour of the Caribbean, leaving the players with a very limited window towards the end of the fifth season of WBBL.

India will depart for the West Indies on October 23 after finishing the ODI series against South Africa on October 14. — PTI
