Hima Das clocked 23.65 seconds to win the women’s 200m gold, while national record holder Tejinder Pal Singh Toor bagged the shot put bronze with a best effort of 19.62 metres in the Poznan Athletics Grand Prix in Poland. Muhammed Anas, the 400m national record holder, was third in the men’s 200m race with a timing of 20.75s.

Wrestlers grab six medals 

Indian Greco-Roman wrestlers today won three silver and three bronze medals in the 2019 Cadet Asian Championship at Nur-Sultan in Kazakhstan. Arshad (51kg), Nitesh (92kg) and Sonu (110kg) won a silver each while Harsh (45kg), Pravin (55kg) and Ravi (60kg) bagged a bronze each.

Indian archers falter   

Indians put up a disappointing show in the Archery World Cup Stage IV here today, crashing out in all the team and individual events of the recurve and compound sections.
