New Delhi, January 17

The Congress has a single-minded agenda to save the perpetrators of the 1984 “genocide”, including Jagdish Tytler and Kamal Nath, alleged SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal, while welcoming youth Congress leader in Punjab, Rajwinder Singh Lucky, to the Akali Dal fold.

Lucky had contested the Assembly election from Balachaur on the Congress ticket. His joining the Akali Dal would give a major jolt to the Congress in Doaba, Sukhbir said.

“All Punjabis must unite to thwart the evil designs of the Congress, which is bent on protecting the Gandhi family that was directly responsible for the 1984 “mass murder” of 3,000 Sikhs,” he said.

Sukhbir said the party had been strengthened with the induction of a veteran youth leader who had also served as president of the Panjab University Student Union besides being the general secretary of the State Youth Congress.

Lucky joined the SAD along with his team comprising Balachaur Youth Congress former president Ashok Chechi and former Block Samiti members Vijay Kumar and Virender Kataria.

“The Congress government in Punjab has failed to fulfil the promises it made before elections. This forced me to join the SAD,” Lucky said.
