Ludhiana, October 16

Nearly 25 years after a bomb blast occurred near Clock Tower in Ludhiana, a local court is likely to pronounce the judgment this week. In a resumed hearing, Additional Sessions Judge Atul Kasana adjourned the hearing involving extremist Jagtar Singh Hawara till October 18. The bomb blast had occurred in 1995.

The case was fixed for recording statement under Section 313 of the CrPC, but it could not be recorded for long. The defence lawyer insisted that there was no need of recording such statement. — OC
