Two liquor traders nabbed in Phagwara

PHAGWARA: The Goraya police arrested two liquor traders identified as Kulwant Rai and Aakashdeep Singh, both residents of Amritsar, and recovered 1.04 crore ml of alcohol from a truck near Atta village in Goraya today.

The Goraya police arrested two liquor traders identified as Kulwant Rai and Aakashdeep Singh, both residents of Amritsar, and recovered 1.04 crore ml of alcohol from a truck near Atta village in Goraya today.

Deputy Superintendent of Police, Phillaur, Davinder Singh Attri said their three accomplices managed to flee in a car. The DSP said the truck of the accused had also been impounded. The accused confessed during interrogation that they used to prepare illicit liquor from this alcohol by mixing a chemical.
