At least three persons were killed in road mishaps, yesterday.

Rakesh Kumar (25) of Ghallu village was killed, while his friend Subhash Chander of Khippanwali village was injured as a truck reportedly hit their motorcycle on the railway overbridge near Dangarkhera village on the Abohar-Fazilka stretch of the highway late yesterday evening. The driver fled leaving the truck behind.

In another incident, Rajinder Meghwal (32) of Chak 93GB village died on the spot as the pickup van that he was driving hit a canal bridge on the Suratgarh road in Sriganganagar on Saturday.

In yet another incident, motorcyclist Nand Kishore Gera (36), son of former sarpanch Prabhdayal Gera of Lathawali village, was killed as a car reportedly hit him on Jassa Singh Road in Sriganganagar yesterday.
