Punjab Public Works Department (PWD) Minister Vijay Inder Singla said today that he would ensure that Jaswinder Singh (30), a blood cancer patient from Gujran village, got full medical treatment.

The Tribune on Saturday highlighted the plight of Jaswinder Singh, who has four daughters below the age of nine years and has a debt of Rs 4 lakh.

“I have got to know about Jaswinder’s plight from The Tribune. I will pay from my own pocket for his treatment and also ensure that he gets benefits of various health schemes of Punjab and Central government. I will personally take up his case with the health authorities for quick treatment,” said Singla while talking to The Tribune after a function in the grain market here. —TNS
