Sandeep Kumar, a tea stall owner’s son, is all of a sudden a hero of the town, being honoured by people from all walks of society. He has cleared the Punjab Civil Services (Judicial) exam with overall seventh rank.

“From my childhood, I have seen my father standing for hours, cleaning and serving tea cups. I used to go to the tea stall to give him lunch box during my school days and then I decided to achieve something big in life. My family and friends supported my dream, which is finally a reality,” said Sandeep, who is presently a contractual teacher recruited under the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) and posted at Government Middle School, Kheri Gujran village, Mohali district.

He had done BSc (non-medical), BEd and LLB from Panjab University in the evening session (2011-2014).
