Four killed in bus-tanker collision near Patran

PATIALA: Six persons were killed when a Pepsu Road Transport Corporation (PRTC) bus collided head on with a tanker at the Nial bypass near Patran on Monday.

Four persons were killed when a Pepsu Road Transport Corporation (PRTC) bus collided head on with a tanker at the Nial bypass near Patran on Monday.

The accident occurred around 11 am when the bus carrying around 30 passengers was on its way to Patiala.

Three persons died on the spot, and 26 were injured. They were rushed to Guru Dal Charitable Hospital in Patran, of which five were referred to Government Rajindra Hospital, Patiala.

The police said one of the injured died later.
